While going through the different modules offered by the center with adequate information on how these modules are being practicalized as spelled out by the administration of PCC PJC, Prof James Kiven K. Head of Department for International Relation accompanied by colleagues, Prof. Sunjo Emile and Dr. Mbiatem, appreciated the strides made by the PCC PJC and affirmed the department’s commitments to work in partnership in order to build PCC PJC into a citadel of peace actors.

“It’s been quite a pleasure for us to be here, the curriculum is one that, I can say is timely because it is intended to actually build capacity for peace in the Region, but I think it is one that is going to serve not just this region but other regions in Cameroon. So it is a very timely initiative and we comment the PCC for actually being able to put this in place. Now we have discussed ways to actually scale the program and I think that it was very clear that working together in the way that we discussed, we will be able to ensure it reaches more people in this Region and other Regions. So, being a department of International Relations and Conflict Resolution at the University of Buea, we are really really happy to actually collaborate with the Center on this project and we are also looking at other projects”. HOD, Prof James Kiven K.

A Memorandum of Understanding is expected to this effect, after which PCC Peace and Justice Center (PCC PJC) and the Department of Conflict Resolution and International Relation will work towards increasing the peace multipliers effect.
“First of all we are so delighted to have the administration from the University of Buea to our office, the PCC Peace Office, and we had a successful and brilliant discussions and I am so satisfied as the PCC Peace Coordinator for the outcome of the meeting and with the outcome of the meeting, there’s hope for PJC for the future because, we’re going to network with them, we are going to collaborate with them, we are going to partner with them for the growth of PCC PJC. And like the head of department for the Conflict Resolution and International Relations said, we will need the presence of the Moderator to visit the hierarchy of the University of Buea Institution and if that is done, it is going to cement the ties and so we are so grateful and we are so hopeful for the future of PJC”. Senior Director PCC PJC, Rev. Sobe Florence Ebango Ebude.
