PCC Peace Office Kicks off the Women Community Mediators (WoCOM) Project in Kupe Muanenguba

The implementation phase of our Rural Women Community Mediators Project (dubbed WoCOM-80) saw 15 carefully selected rural Women drawn from Bangem Central, Babubock and Ngusi to acquire knowledge and skills as community Mediators from the 4-7 June 2025 in Bangem Town.

These women were handed on skills on community mediation, alliance creation, resource mobilization, Peacebuilding and equally participated in the production of radio drama.

The goal of the women community mediator project is to spotlight, amplify and engage rural women to be at the fore of resolving the problems that affect them thereby ensuring an effective conflict resolution process in rural communities.

The PCC National Peace Coordinator expressed great delight at the end of the intensive 4-day training which saw a huge commitment and resilience from the willingness of the 15 rural women to positively engage their various communities with the skills acquired.

It is worthy to note that this project shall be implemented in three project areas, that is Kupe Muanenguba, Santa in Mezam Division and Kumba in Même Division.
