“Speaking during the ceremony, PCC’s Moderator, the Rt, Rev. Miki Hans Abia highlighted that such recognitions are not just given out to anyone as it recognizes the contributions of the Laureates towards a more peaceful Cameroon. “People cannot be recognized for doing nothing. So we want to actually congratulate those who were honored today for their selection and we pray that this recognition should not be an end of it but it should be a motivation so that they continue in their work for peace”. Rt. Rev. Miki Hans Abia.

The PCC Peace award over time has matured into an annual event one of which the PCC capitalizes as a church that values and promotes peace to recognize, those who lead on the right path so that others may follow.

Over the years, the process of selecting the Peace Youth, Woman and Man Categories has been an arduous task where the PCC Peace Office, create online platforms for nomination, selection and scrutinization before such individuals finally earn recognition.
