Members of the Fako and Kumba Community Peace Clubs have committed to double their efforts in strengthening and building peaceful communities amidst the post electoral tension.
They were speaking at the end of a one day workshop organized by the PCC Peace Work Office aimed at empowering the Community Peace club members on “Effective Community Strategies” in peace building and conflict transformation.

The workshop that took place at the Presmiic Hall in Buea, Wednesday March 11, 2026, served as a platform for the members to share knowledge on different approaches to community peace building, social cohesion, conflict management and prevention, and Humanitarian Response.

While facilitating the one day workshop, staff of the PCC Peace Work Office led by the National Peace Coordinator, the Rev. Ebango Florence Ebude, were engaged in practical realities, enumerating on some of the challenges faced by community peace actors in their efforts to build peace and resolve conflict which was followed by an outline on the way forward.

This was done through, group presentation, question and answer session and testimonies from the community peace club members.

Speaking at the end of the workshop, the National Peace Coordinator lauded the strides made by the club members in fostering the peace agenda while laying emphasis for them to keep on putting the knowledge acquired to practice.

Participants on their part expressed joy and gratitude to the peace office for help moulding them into fine peace architects and promised to mobilize and double their efforts to positively affect and cause the peace multiplier’s effects in their respective communities.
