A 4-day capacity building workshop for rural women community mediators has rounded off in Kumba. The training that ran from 5th to 9th August registered 17 participants drawn from Kake, Ekombe Mbonji, Konye, Mabonji and Mambanda. The rural women have acquired skills in resolving community conflicts using the mediation tool.



The women Mediators took turns to exact the mediation process by simulating the 5 phases of mediation.
Excitement was evident in the faces of the women as they took turns in testifying the transformation they had experienced during their 4-day stay at the Presbyterian Church Center Kumba.



The PCC National Peace Coordinator The Rev Ebango Florence Ebude in her closing remarks expressed satisfaction on the conduct, commitment and articulation of the task given to the women and was left convinced that the 17 women shall be true vectors of positive changes to their communities.


The office is looking forward to extending the Women Community Mediators Project further into other rural communities in the months ahead as she targets 80 rural women.
