PCC Elections 2024: PCC Peace Work Unit Drills Church Leaders on Elections and Peace

The PCC Peace Work Unit has recently carried out a project on Elections and Peace aimed at sensitizing christians of the Church on Election Modalities and the importance of peace in this process.

The project that ran from January 2024 to May 2024 had as key messages, promoting peace before, during and after the 2024 reorganisation process.

Amongst those capacitated were church leaders from the 31 Presbyteries who converged in six key centers; Bafoussam in the West Presbytery, Mbanga in the East Mungo North Presbytery,  Kumba in the Kumba Presbytery, Limbe for the Fako South Presbytery, Buea for Fako North and Yaoundé for the East Mungo North and Grand North Presbyteries.

The leaders from the Presbytery, Zonal and Congregational level having been drilled on modules such as understanding the relationship between elections and peace, the election cycle , communication patterns during elections time with focus on nonviolent communication, were urged to transmit the knowledge to the rest of the congregants.
