The Peace and Justice Centre of the Peace Office of the Presbyterian Church in Cameroon better known by its acronym “PCC-PJC” offers a six months part-time full professional course (50 credits) in peace and conflict training. The course will be offered once a year from April to September and graduation in November.
The course is taught through an interdisciplinary social science and humanities’ approach that incorporates elements of Sociology, Social and Cultural Anthropology, Psychology, Management and Development studies. It combines a general introduction to the DO-NO-Harm approach, Peace Building and Conflict Management, and Project Development with particular focus on the Cameroonian and central African sub-regional contexts, and employ theories and cases of peace building and conflict transformation relevant in these contexts. Its methodological considerations include lectures, discussions, workshops, field experience, presentations and project conception, design and execution.
